Former Manchester United midfielder Arnold Muhren feels Ajax star Christian Eriksen isn't ready to move to Old Trafford.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed interest in the Dane.

Muhren told manutd.com: "There have been a lot of rumours about Christian Eriksen, the Danish number ten. He is still very young and needs the time to develop. I have read that a lot of big clubs are interested, including United, but I think he should stay at Ajax for another one or two years to get more experience.

"He's playing in the Danish national team and has good vision and technique, and I think he's one of the better players in Europe at his age. He's doing well and is one United fans should look out for.
