Muamba continuing to improve says Bolton boss Coyle

Bolton manager Owen Coyle has confirmed that Fabrice Muamba is continuing to progress well in hospital.

The 23-year old midfielder has been in intensive care at the London Chest Hospital after going into cardiac arrest just under two weeks ago during an FA Cup match at Tottenham.

Muamba has made a rapid recovery and his condition has now been downgraded from critical to serious with Coyle happy to reveal things are going well.

"He continues to get better, but [is] remaining in intensive care," Coyle told Sky Sports News.

"We have always had representation at the hospital and that will continue because it's important that we know he is getting better, which he is.

"When we went the other day and managed to see him, we could see the continued improvement and that all bodes well.

"The well wishes have been really supportive and helped him no end and I think he has taken great strength from that. That will help in his continued fight to recover."
