The wife of Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez has enjoyed a joke at the expense of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

Benitez has followed Mourinho from Inter Milan to Chelsea and now with Real Madrid.

"But if you think about it, you're always going to cross paths. There are very few elite teams in the world."

Maria admits the family is well settled on the Wirral in England.

"They respect your privacy. And where we live, which is a small place in Merseyside, they're used to Rafa being there, there's no hassles."
