‘Mr Swansea City' Curtis the right man says Britton

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton has hailed the appointment of 'Mr Swansea City' Alan Curtis as the club's manager for the remainder of the season.

Curtis has been in charge of the Welsh club on an interim basis since the sacking of Garry Monk in December and has now been handed the responsibility of keeping the club in Premier League this season.

Britton told the club's official website of the Curtis announcement: "We're delighted with Curt's appointment because he has our full respect and we know what this club means to him.

"He's Mr Swansea City and a real legend here. We've really enjoyed playing under him.

"We want to get out of the situation as quickly as possible, and the players are confident Curt and David Adams can steer us in the right direction."
