Moyes to meet with Sunderland owner after 'worst day in football'

Sunderland boss David Moyes is set to meet with club owner Ellis Short to discuss his future at the club, according to The Sun.

The former Everton and Man Utd boss is once again facing the sack at his job after Bournemouth defeated the Black Cats to confirm their relegation to the Championship.

Moyes said: "I'm going to sit down with Ellis and Martin over the coming days."

"We have to put a plan in place and I have to look to see there's a strategy to get us bouncing back up."

"That will be the key for me. When you come into a job, you use the word rebuilding — and I don't think anybody should be changing that word now.

"But time doesn't always give you an opportunity to rebuild because you are judged on results automatically. "I think most people are aware there is more to do — top to bottom."

The Scot also described his side's defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday as his "worst day in football."
