Moyes rues Man Utd misses in Sociedad draw

David Moyes was left to ponder what might have been as Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by Real Sociedad on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils, who had Marouane Fellaini sent off for a second yellow card later in the piece, saw Robin van Persie miss a penalty and Javier Hernandez fail to score from six yards which thoroughly disappointed Moyes who felt his side should have at least scored.

"We had enough chances to win, especially in the second half," said Moyes ITV1.

"We controlled most of it, and but for one or two moments we were the team on top.

"But that was a game we should have won. It was there for us to take the points, get ourselves in a really strong position, and near enough get clear.

"We've not done it, but we're capable of doing it in the other games as well.

"At the moment we're still top of the group and in a good position.

"But when you get games like this you need to take your chances when they come along, and we missed a big opportunity to take three points."
