Moyes rejects World Cup TV gigs to focus on Man Utd clearout

Manchester United boss David Moyes has rejected World Cup TV gigs to keep him free this summer to overhaul his squad. The Daily Star says Moyes will rip apart the team Sir Alex Ferguson built and bring in a minimum of five new signings in the biggest squad overhaul the club has ever seen.

Captain Nemanja Vidic's exit is set to spark an exodus of big names from Old Trafford as the champions look to undergo major changes.

Those heading for the Old Trafford exit along with Vidic include Rio Ferdinand, Rafael da Silva, Patrice Evra, Shinji Kagawa, Nani, Anderson and Alex Buttner.

Under-fire boss Moyes has such a big task on his hands that he has rejected lucrative offers of TV work at this summer's World Cup to focus on the huge rebuilding job facing him.

Moyes will travel to Brazil but will be in the stands assessing potential signings for the new-look side he wants next term.

The futures of Ryan Giggs, Javier Hernandez, Tom Cleverley and Wilfried Zaha are also under a dark cloud.
