Sunderland boss David Moyes hopes for a healthy January transfer budget.
Moyes believes he has the support of Sunderland chairman Ellis Short, and that he will be backed into the January transfer window to help turn their season around.
Moyes has got off to a nightmare start at the Black Cats, who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table without a win in eight games so far.
“I'm due to speak to [Short] about January and we'll try to get a plan together," said Moyes. “It will be a key month for us and we are definitely going to have to add players who can give us a bit more to the squad but we need to make sure we are still in the game come January. We've got to be in a position to compete."
