Everton boss Dave Moyes has revealed he's active in the club's academy system and proud of the results it's producing.

Moyes told the Sunday Mail: "I try to persuade kids with a special talent to join our academy. If need be I will chap the door of the house and speak to the parents.

"That kind of thing goes back to when I was a kid playing for Drumchapel amateurs.

"I'm proud of the young players we have brought through from Wayne Rooney and Victor Anichebe to the latest couple to make it to the first team, Jack Rodwell and Jose Baxter."
