Everton boss David Moyes was pleased with the show of squad depth in their defeat of Wigan Athletic.

"I thought the boys that came in off the bench did a great job," Moyes told evertonTV. "We have not had it (experience on the bench) in recent weeks; we've probably not had it for a while. If we can get some of the (injured) boys back and add a few more (we will have it).

"I thought Marouane Fellaini and Jo both made an impact and probably turned the game for us.

"The squad is important, not just the XI, and that is the way we work here."
