Sunderland boss David Moyes has advised his keeper Jordan Pickford not to leave the club just to warm the bench at one of the bigger clubs in the league.
The 23-year-old has been in superb form for the relegated side this season, and he produced a stellar performance in the 2-0 win at Hull City on Saturday.
Various reports have claimed that the likes of Man City and Everton are interested in a summer move for Pickford.
Moyes said: "I think that would be a telling factor if the alternative was to go and sit on the bench somewhere else.
"If I was Jordan I wouldn't do that, I'd want to be playing regularly but again Sunderland hold his contract and Jordan can't go anywhere unless we decide to let it happen."
