David Moyes never saw his sacking by Manchester United coming.
The Daily Star Sunday says Moyes was so convinced he would not only still be in charge of United next season but for the remaining five years of his contract, that he had advanced personal and professional plans in place.
They included moving from his long-time home in Preston to a new property in south Manchester, to be nearer Old Trafford and United's Carrington training complex.
Moyes, 51, also had his summer scouting plans at the World Cup mapped out, having rejected TV approaches to concentrate on United business.
And he believed he had signings in place, like Southampton's England left-back Luke Shaw.
