David Moyes says Manchester United star Wayne Rooney will always be an Evertonian.

Rooney returns to Goodison Park today.

"I'm sure it's inevitable," said Moyes when asked if a heated 'welcome' was likely for the England striker at Goodison Park on Saturday.

"But Wayne would be the first one to tell you that he'll be delighted to come back with his wee boy and watch Everton. He's bringing up his wee boy as an Everton supporter.

"He will always be an Evertonian, Wayne, and get criticism for leaving the Club. But time has moved on, we have moved on, he has, so I don't see a problem with it."
