West Ham United boss David Moyes has once again expressed his need to buy players in the January transfer window.
The Hammers are currently lingering one point above the drop zone and it is believed a boost to their midfield stocks is a priority.
Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho and Sevilla's Steven Nzonzi have been mentioned as potential signings.
But whoever arrives at the club, Moyes is adamant it must be next month.
"I'm giving players chances; I'm in a hurry, and I have to be in a hurry," said Moyes. "Because of that I can't wait three or four months to see how you play.
"Everyone's shown a great desire and is committed in training, but we're short in some areas, and overloaded in some other areas."
