Manchester United boss David Moyes insists he's the right man for the job.
Sir Alex Ferguson backed Moyes in a US interview this week.
Moyes believes that statement will be proved correct.
"Manchester United is a good club," he said. "I am sure they know they picked the right man for the job.
"Sir Alex was part of that process as well."
Moyes also says Ferguson's forthcoming book launch and sell-out theatre tour will not prove a distraction.
Anything Sir Alex does is good for Manchester United," said Moyes on Friday. "He was an incredible manager. His success was fantastic.
"I don't see it being negative in any way at all."
