Moyes: Everton success helpful in transfer market

Everton boss David Moyes is convinced this season's resurgence will help him in the summer transfer market.

Moyes said: "I hope top players will look at us and feel they want to be a part of us. They see we're going in the right direction, making progress and they could be part of a project which is moving forward.

"We want to attract the world stars but you need the finance to do that. If someone of that kind of stature came along who we thought he was the right player for us, we'd go for it. What we want is a player who'd join in with the rest of the squad, not isolate himself.

"We all pull together here, so if you want to come here and take the limelight, you'd soon be sorted out. I hope we're becoming more attractive to players.

"There are five or six here who are playing right at the top of their game and are top, top players. We're an up-and-coming football club. I was worried about progress at the start of the season, but now you can see we have progressed.

"I didn't feel that way after two months this season, but for many different reasons everything has improved since then. I also think a lot of youngsters will be looking at us and thinking we don't bring in too many boys from abroad and you might get a chance to play in the Premier League by coming here.

"What's also important is our style of football has developed. My first priority here was to get us winning and then I wanted to play good football. The idea of 'The Dogs of War' at Everton has gone."
