Moyes: Everton can start challenging for big trophies

After their 7-1 victory against Sunderland, Everton boss Dave Moyes is convinced they can challenge the top four for trophies this season.

He said: "If we want to be a big club we have to compete for all the trophies, not just one or two.

"That is very hard to do, but we have all of our players fit now at the right time and they will all get the chance to play over the coming weeks."

He added: "That was the sort of performance you hope you can do regularly, bottle it, and keep producing it.

"The players have sensed the competition now, we have everyone fit. I just told the lads that this is the standard we have to play to.

"It was the best performance since I have been at the club, a joy to watch.

"Sometimes we get criticised for the way we play, just one up front and Tim Cahill in behind. Sometimes there are lulls in his game but I keep telling him to get into the box and this result shows what he can do for us.

"We don't play two strikers, but despite the criticism we scored seven goals. We have found a style of play that suits us - it makes us an attacking, exciting team to watch.

"More importantly we have the players that fit perfectly into the system. And no, I don't fancy the England job."
