Moyes admits steaming into Everton players after Bolton draw

Everton boss David Moyes admits blasting his players after their draw with Bolton Wanderers.

Moyes branded Marouane Fellaini 'stupid' over his red card for retaliation against Bolton and did not pull any punches over the way his side over-elaborated in their 1-1 draw.

"I have long felt I would like my team to play in a similar way to Arsenal, but it is about finding the right balance," he said.

"It looked, at times, like we were trying to create the perfect goal. We were guilty of over-playing, and I told them afterwards.

"When I got in the dressing room, I said: "Look boys, I'm the manager, and I'm desperate to see us win. The football was great, but we just needed to do a bit more. I was bored watching that." I don't want them to go the other way, and start humping it long, but we do need to start mixing it up a bit more than we have been.

"Fellaini has been left with a really bad leg from the challenge that caused the problem, but he was stupid to retaliate, and we are going to miss him for three games, which is a big setback."
