David Moyes has confirmed Everton are yet to offer him a contract extension.
Moyes did hold preliminary talks with Everton officials earlier this year, although the club are yet to put an offer on the table.
The Scottish tactician has admitted it might be strange planning for the long-term with only 12 months on deal.
"My job is here and I am under contract for another year," he told the Daily Mail.
"I will be here next season unless I am told differently but beyond that I don't know.
"It might seem strange to be preparing for another season with just one year on your contract but maybe that is a question for the chairman.
"We had some discussions two months ago, but there has been nothing since.
"I haven't been offered a new contract and nothing has been mentioned about talks."
