Manchester United boss David Moyes admits he thought he'd be in a stronger position at this stage in the season.

Moyes admits that he had hoped his fortunes would fare better at United.

"It's football - it can happen at any club," he said when pressed on United's recent results.

"It happened at my old club and it's happening here.

"I hoped it wouldn't, but it has."
