Atletico Madrid have secured goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya to a new deal.

The experienced shot-stopper has agreed a new 12-month deal, with his previous agreement set to expire in June.

Moya acts as back-up at Atletico to No1 keeper Jan Oblak.

"Atleti knew that I wanted to stay and I know that Atleti wants me to stay. It has been simple, this week or the coming one I will sign the contract. There is agreement, there will be no problem." he said.

The deal will include a further 12 month option to 2019.
