Moxey insists Wolves can be top three club

Wolves chief Jez Moxey is adamant the club can soon be competing for European places.

Fuelled by owner Steve Morgan's long-term vision for Wolves, Moxey believes they can once again compete with the elite under manager Mick McCarthy.

He told the Express & Star: "The aim is to get us back where everyone thinks we belong.

"We are kidding ourselves if we think we can usurp Manchester United, but we think we can get to just below that level - in the top three, four or five clubs where we can be competing in Europe.

"But we will only do it by staying in the Premier League and Steve Morgan said to us recently that we have to 'think bigger' and have faith in what we're doing and stay strong to achieve that.

"Steve has always said he's not in it to play around. He wants us to be as good as we can be and if that's challenging in the top three or four clubs for the league, then so be it.

"What we won't be is something we're not."
