West Brom boss Tony Mowbray says 17 year-old Kiwi Chris Wood has a big future at the Hawthorns.
Wood made his Premiership debut in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Portsmouth and Mowbray told the club's website: "Chris scores goals for fun in the youth team and scored on his reserves debut less than month a ago.
"Roman (Bednar) pulled a hamstring in training yesterday and Chris fits the frame. He's 6ft3in and has a big presence.
"He's just gone 17 and sometimes you've got to throw these boys in. I think he's got a bright future.
"We'll drop him in and take him out when we think it is right."
