Tony Mowbray will keep his squad together and not loan out fringe players due to a massive number of injuries at The Hawthorns.
Several key players are currently out of action which has persuaded Mowbray to change his mind about sending players out on loan.
"Without naming names, there were one or two players who were going to go out in the early part of this week," said Mowbray.
"Things were put in place but I will make some calls and there is every chance that it won't happen.
"Ultimately, the club and the team have to come first and, at the moment, with the injuries we are carrying, I don't think we have the scope to let too many out on loan."
