Marc-Antoine Fortune could be the man to keep West Brom in the top flight according to manager Tony Mowbray.
The Baggies signed Fortune on loan from French club Nancy and he opened up his account when he scored a double in the loss to Newcastle two weeks ago.
Mowbray wants Fortune to take ownership of the forward third and thinks he can be the catalyst for a change in the clubs fortunes.
"I felt in the first couple of games, Fortune played as part of a strike-partnership, but I wanted him to take on the mantle of leading the line," Mowbray said on the club'sofficial website.
"I thought he did that exceptionally well. That's how I'd seen him play in France - almost like a target.
"He's got good technical ability to help bring in other players."
