Steven Mouyokolo hopes to grab his chance today for Hull City in their FA Cup tie with Wigan Athletic.
The former Boulogne star has started just three Premier League games since his £1.8m move to the Tigers.
Defender Mouyokolo told the Hull Daily Mail: "Ideally I want to play centre-back but I can't say no if I get a place on the left or right of the back four.
"It's a place in the team and that's what's important.
"The FA Cup is an important trophy for us.
"I loved playing in the cup in France when I was there, it is considered one of the priorities there, and it is the same here for English sides.
"We'll be concentrating on our game and what we can do and not thinking too much about Wigan and hopefully we can go through to the next round."
