Moussa Sissoko has revealed he discussed his move to Tottenham Hotspur with club captain Hugo Lloris.
The midfielder joined Spurs on a five-year deal from Newcastle United on deadline day for a reported fee of £30million.
After completing his transfer to White Hart Lane, Sissoko spoke about his decision to join the North Londoners having conversed with France teammate Lloris.
"I'm very happy, very proud to be here," he told Spurs TV.
"It was a long period for me, I was waiting for this moment so today I'm very happy and I'm looking forward now.
"It's simple. They did well last season, they have a great manager, they have a good team and I spoke with Hugo Lloris, he told me the club is amazing and everything is here for me to be good, to play some good games and to fight with the best teams in England."
