Mourinho warns Man Utd fans: Top-four not guaranteed

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has warned fans of the club that the club that they may not even finish in the top four this season.

The Red Devils are currently in second place on the Premier League standings with 19 points from several games, behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.

They are looking their strongest since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson as manager and they look as though they will challenge for the league this season.

Mourinho has however shrugged off speculation that the team could challenge for the title, saying that they are not even certain of a top four finish.

He said, "Last year the season started much harder and ended very well, this year it started very well and we don't know how it will end.

"In another league it could be said that a team that starts with seven wins and a draw would almost mean the title.

"But in England it doesn't mean anything, not even that we will finish in the first four places."
