Incoming Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho fancies a raid on Real Madrid - for a director.
The Sun says he wants Real's director general Jose Angel Sanchez to follow him to Old Trafford.
Sanchez negotiated all the Galactico signings spanning 16 years over Florentino Perez's two stints as president.
A top Bernabeu source revealed: “Jose wants Jose Angel to come to United with him. This is not something new — they have discussed it over several months now.
“It's not a done deal and a lot must fall into place but the two have certainly discussed it."
Sanchez, 48, transformed Madrid into the richest club in the world, first as the all-powerful marketing director, and has continued to draw up the Spanish giants' strategy.
He is officially the second in command at Real behind Perez but essentially Sanchez is the man who runs the club.
