Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants Sir Alex Ferguson more involved with the club.
Ferguson has been sidelined by club owners the Glazers despite winning 13 Premier League titles as manager from 1986-2014.
Glasgowlive.co.uk says Mourinho wants Ferguson and his fellow Football Club Board directors like Bobby Charlton and ex-chief executive David Gill to be integrated into United's main, Glazer-led plc board.
Ferguson is also still a global ambassador for United but his influence has faded dramatically since he was allowed to choose David Moyes as his managerial successor two years ago.
He is thought to have had little say in the ensuing appointments of Louis van Gaal and Mourinho.
And, although Ferguson is still the main face on the Football Club Board, he has reportedly been twitching for more power.
