New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will return to Real Madrid this summer for Xabi Alonso. The Sunday Telegraph says Mourinho enjoyed working with Xabi at Real and wants to bring him back to the Premier League.

Alonso underwent groin surgery in Munich last week but hopes to be fit for next season.

The 31-year-old has claimed to have made his peace with Chelsea's Frank Lampard after the pair clashed several times when the Spaniard was at Liverpool.
