Mourinho unaware of Falcao’s Chelsea plans

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is uninformed as to whether or not Radamel Falcao wants to leave Chelsea.

Reports emerged recently suggesting that the Colombian striker, who is on a season-long from AS Monaco, was keen to exit Stamford Bridge after failing to gain regular game time in the early stages of the new season.

However, Mourinho has revealed that he knows nothing of Falcao's plans and has urged the 29-year-old to compete more with Diego Costa for a starting spot.

"First of all I don't know if it's true. To me he said absolutely nothing in relation to that," Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Dynamo Kyiv.

"I speak with him every day. It's quite strange the press know something I don't know and my club doesn't know. We don't have one single bit of information about it.

"What he has to do is play more? He has to give us more than Diego Costa. We normally play with one striker. I always go for the performance level. It's a direct competition between players for one position. The best one plays."
