Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is confident he can bring Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann to Old Trafford.

The Manchester Evening News says there are a number of factors which could give the Red Devils the edge in the chase for the Atletico star.

Uncertainty over manager Diego Simeone's position in the Spanish capital and United's huge financial power are two.

But perhaps the most persuasive element is Old Trafford's growing French contingent.

Paul Pogba, Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial are all regulars in the France national team along with Griezmann.

And interestingly, Griezmann tweeted '#Pogback' following Pogba's £89m return to Old Trafford.
