Jose Mourinho wants a reunion with Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole - at Real Madrid.

The Daily Mail says Mourinho is expected to confirm his move from Inter Milan to the Bernabeu at a meeting with Real president Florentino Perez on Monday, less than 48 hours after guiding the Italians to a 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

His top transfer targets will be Cole, valued at around £25million, and Inter right back Maicon. Cole is understood to be aware of Mourinho's plan.

Mourinho took Cole to Chelsea from Arsenal in acrimonious circumstances four years ago.

The 29-year-old has four years left on his £100,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea will fight to keep him.
