Mourinho speculation angers Man Utd boss van Gaal

Louis van Gaal again took offence to suggestions that his job at Manchester United is under question.

Reports emerged last week that the Dutchman could soon be replaced by Jose Mourinho but when quizzed on the matter, the Red Devils boss was clearly angered.

Following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, a reporter brought up the scenario to which van Gaal reacted strongly.

"You have spoken with (United's executive vice-chairman) Ed Woodward?" asked Van Gaal.

"Why do they have to deny? I don't interfere neither (sic). Why do the club have to deny it when you are creating stories

"Okay. So you didn't speak to Ed Woodward, not with the Glazers and you are inventing a story.

"And then I have to answer this question. I don't answer this question. And I shall repeat myself every week.

"Now I have to say that you are getting the sack tomorrow. What is your name? Then I can announce your name also."

Despite the fact United have been playing a much better brand of football in recent matches, van Gaal continues to be linked with the Old Trafford exit door, with Mourinho his most likely replacement.
