Mourinho set for first Man Utd game with Bailly, Mkhitaryan to make debuts

Jose Mourinho will oversee his first game in charge of Manchester United this weekend.

The Portuguese tactician is preparing to select his first-ever Red Devils line-up for Saturday's pre-season friendly with Wigan Athletic at DW Stadium.

Reports suggest that left-back Luke Shaw will return to action after he was sidelined for the majority of last season with a badly broken leg.

The match could also see summer signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan debut for their new club after joining from Villarreal and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

United's big-name signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be present in Wigan, as he takes a break following his obligations with Sweden at Euro2016, and could also miss the club's pre-season tour of China.

England trio Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford will also not be a part of the team that takes on the Latics.

Youngsters such as Tim Fosu-Mensah, Axel Tuanzebe and Andreas Pereira will be given game time alongside senior players Memphis Depay, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young, Jesse Lingard, Adnan Januzaj, Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones and Daley Blind.
