Mourinho satisfied with Inter Milan draw against Rubin Kazan

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho insists he was satisfied after drawing 1-1 with Champions League opponents Rubin Kazan.

They were trailing to an Alejandro Dominguez strike early on and Dejan Stankovic equalised with a diving header, but it was a siege on their net after Mario Balotelli’s dismissal.

“Considering the circumstances, it’s a point earned and a positive result,” Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia.

“Obviously we want to qualify as soon as possible. We drew a game that, in the circumstances, we could easily have lost. At the end of the day that seems positive to me.

“Our opponents got a better start and were fired up, motivated, everything it means to play your first game at home.

“They scored, then I saw Inter play for the rest of the first half. We created, scored and could have had more, going into the break with a positive mentality ready to push for the second.

“We all know what happened next.”
