Chelsea captain John Terry will be offered a new contract by the Premier League leaders with his current deal expiring at the end of the season, according to boss Jose Mourinho. The 34 year old has made more than 550 appearances for the club since signing professional terms in 1998.
"I can guarantee he will be a Chelsea player next season," said Mourinho.
"I know what my board tells me - no doubts he's going to get his contract."
Terry is likely to be offered a new one-year deal as Chelsea have a club policy that players over the age of 30 are given only 12-month extensions.
