Jose Mourinho has wanted Chelsea to sign Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney since APRIL.

Mourinho has confirmed they'll make a new bid for Rooney after tomorrow night's clash at Old Trafford.

The Sunday Express says Mourinho started his pursuit of Rooney in April when still the manager of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

But he had already decided to build his new Chelsea team around him.
