Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is pleased with the quality coming through the Castilla.

Mourinho included Tomas Mejias in his squad for victory over Real Betis.

He said: "When we talk about academy players we talk about quality and response. There isn't a single coach who will not play a youth teamer if he is a quality player who responds well. I will be delighted to use the academy players whenever that happens. None of them have done a bad job. All those who have already played for the first team did so under different circumstances.

"Fifteen of them have played with us already, but playing is one thing and staying on the team is a different question altogether. These kids have a lot of potential, so I believe some of them will eventually reach and stay on the first team."
