Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has identified SIX possible players he could sign in the summer to fill the midfield hole in his side.

With Michael Carrick retiring, Marouane Fellaini set to leave on a free transfer, and Paul Pogba's form in question, midfield is an area the United team must improve.

And according to the Daily Express, the likes of Arturo Vidal, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Marco Verratti, Fred, Jean Michael Seri and Jorginho are among the players Mourinho fancies to bring to United.

Deals for Milinkovic-Savic and Verratti would be complicated, with Lazio set to demand a world record fee, and PSG unlikely to entertain offers given their desire to win the Champions Leaague.

Vidal, Fred, Seri and Jorginho are more attainable targets, given Vidal can leave Bayern in the summer and the other three are not at huge clubs who would demand mega offers.
