Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho believes Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli should have stayed with Inter Milan.
Balo hinted that he had received an offer from Real Madrid before choosing Manchester City.
"I don't know if it was right for him to leave Italy. In my view the problem wasn't so much Italy or England as much as his lack of balance.
"In any case, we talked on the telephone and I like speaking to my former players. He asked about the Premier League, he knows what I think of him and despite our problems I'm pleased to note he realises how much I care for him.
"Now he can improve with Roberto Mancini, especially as they already know each other."
