Jose Mourinho admits he returned to Chelsea because he wanted to again confound the critics.

Mourinho says he liked the idea of silencing those in football who say 'you should never go back'.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "There is a cliché in football that reads: 'never return to a team where you have been happy in the past'.
