Mourinho keeps De Gea informed of Man Utd transfer plans with Real Madrid star lined up

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keeping David de Gea up to date with his summer transfer plans.

Knowing De Gea is under pressure to return to Spain and sign with Real Madrid, Mourinho has spoken to his keeper to assure him of who they plan to buy for next season.

And at yesterday's Spain training session, De Gea let on to some teammates, including Real captain Sergio Ramos, that a deal is close for Gareth Bale.

Don Balon says Mourinho has told De Gea they're ready to sign Real attacker Bale. The Welshman came close to joining United last summer only for Mourinho to publicly chastise him for not doing enough at his end to get the deal over the line.

Meanwhile, Mourinho significantly name checked De Gea last week when talking about the future of United - this despite the constant Real Madrid transfer rumours.

"Do you know how many United players that left the club last season? See where they play, how they play, if they play," he said.

"That's football heritage and one day when I leave the next United manager will find here Lukaku, Matic, of course De Gea from many years ago.

"They will find players with a different mentality, quality, background, with a different status, know-how."
