Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is threatening to scupper Manchester United plans for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.
The Sunday Telegraph says Mourinho has discussed moving for Garay with Chelsea directors as an alternative to No1 defensive target Eliaquim Mangala of Porto.
Chelsea will have to sell to help make room for new arrivals, with the futures of defenders David Luiz and John Terry in doubt.
Luiz is wanted by Paris St-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Monaco want Terry.
