Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says no-one will match the achievements of Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United are the club to which Mourinho is most heavily tipped to join once Ferguson announces his retirement.

Despite already being widely regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time, Mourinho insisted he could never get close to emulating Ferguson's achievements.

He said: "Impossible, impossible, because he is the one, he was all his life working in the British football.

"The numbers he has are impossible for somebody to - not to beat - it's impossible for someone to be close."
