Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admits he tried to sign Frank Lampard for Inter Milan.

Lampard is currently starring with Manchester City.

"I have another disappointment," Mourinho told journalists in a Press conference, discussing his failure to lure Steven Gerrard to Chelsea.

"[That is] when I was trying [to bring] Lampard to Inter. And it was almost, almost, almost [there] but [that] also didn't happen.

"I've had a couple of disappointments and that's normal in the football market."
