Jose Mourinho has received an approach from Manchester City.

The Sun says City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra decided to axe Sven Goran Eriksson way back on April 5 when they lost at home to Chelsea.

After that 2-0 defeat an intermediary acting for the club approached former Chelsea boss Mourinho about taking the job next season.

He is yet to give them a reply. Eriksson has been a dead man walking since then despite being under the impression he was the manager for next season.
