Manchester United plan new contract talks with Jesse Lingard.

The People says Lingard is on the verge of signing a new four-year contract at Manchester United – despite coming in for criticism from Jose Mourinho after their Derby Day defeat.

Midfielder Lingard's terms are being finalised by lawyers and he hopes to put pen to paper on the new deal very soon.

The extension is a major boost for the 23-year-old and shows the faith the Old Trafford giants' new boss Mourinho and the club have in him.
