Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits his Chelsea sacking hurt his family more than him.
Mourinho takes Manchester United to Stamford Bridge tomorrow for the first time since his sacking.
"I wasn't sat at home crying. No, not at all," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "I think I was the one at the house with better spirit at the time."
Despite the furore surrounding his departure and his family's disappointment, the 53-year-old revealed he was determined to move on swiftly from his Blues exit.
"I just felt 'I've no job'. It is difficult to work in the next couple of weeks and months. Probably the best thing for me was to work only the next summer. So I just tried to enjoy my life immediately," added the Portuguese.
"I remember I left the training ground, it was not nice for my family to have so many people at the door for a couple of days but then it was finished. Then I start doing my life in a very normal way."
